The Hungry Little Minds website has produced activities for children in the Foundation Stage and early Year One.
The Phonics Play website has been identified as being useful for phonics and spelling activities for our Reception EYFS /Year One / Year Two classes.
The Education City website is producing learning activities, as are the TTS and Classroom Secrets sites. These sites are free access websites, which parents can access from home for home learning.
The Hamilton Trust and Top Marks platforms are providing English and mathematics work packs – once again they are free to access.

Maths
The children are doing well with problem solving but their end-of term tests have shown that many children still struggle to
- add and subtract simple numbers at pace,
i.e. 8+6=? / 4+5+6=? / 28+? =35
i.e. 10- ? =2/ 12-7=? / 56-? =51
- count reliably in 2, 3 and 5 (forwards and backwards) at pace
- halve numbers up to 20 at pace (especially 6, 7, 8, 9),
- double numbers up to 20 at pace (especially 6, 7, 8, 9),
- work out simple multiplications (2, 5, 10 times table) at pace.
