Music at the School

Summer Concert Talent!

Lots of musicians took part in our Summer Concert - playing solos on string, keyboard, woodwind and brass instruments.  The school choir and orchestra also performed and it was exciting to see and hear all the talent on display.

Recording Stars

Ickleford School has its own CD.  All the children sang and played for the recording.  Copies are on sale for £7.99.

Cello Concert

Year 3 children have been learning to play the cello this year and parents were invited into school to hear them perform.  They made a wonderful rich sound and their parents were very appreciative.

There are lots of opportunities for the children to take part in musical activities.  Many of the children have instrumental lessons taught by visiting peripatetic teachers.  Currently lessons are available on the piano, keyboard, violin, cello, woodwind and brass instruments.  All the children in Year 3 learn to play the cello free of charge.  We have a school orchestra and a school choir.
