On Monday 15th May both KS1 and KS2 each had a special assembly led by a visitor from the NSPCC. During the assembly the children met the new mascot of the NSPCC, Buddy the speech bubble, who let us know that it’s ok to speak out so you can stay safe. The children learnt that carrying something around that worries us is like carrying around a large bag of bricks. We shared ideas about which trusted adult we could speak to, as well as that we watched a video about Childline. The video was all about a young girl who used Childline to share her problems and help improve her home life. The assembly finished with ideas about how we could help raise money for this wonderful organisation.
