On Thursday, I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to take Year 4 to Bhaktivedanta Manor, a Hindu Temple. We had a wonderful day full of colour, learning more about Hindu beliefs about God, dressing up in traditional clothing and face paints, and experiencing a cart ride pulled by oxen! The children also tried some traditional Indian food, such as a mild pea and paneer curry and flatbreads. The devotees in the temple who helped organise the activities were very impressed with the knowledge the children already had and the depth of their further questions. The children were engaged and respectful whilst having fun, and were a real credit to the school. Thank you Year 4 and thank you to the parents for supporting this incredibly interesting visit.
